There’s a new Tapeworms song online but Tumblr’s™ 10mb maximum mp3 upload doesn’t allow me to upload it here. If you want to hear it you’ll have to take a trip back in time and visit a site called Myspace™, click through the ads, answer a captcha or two, then take a listen to what might just be a 30-second sample of the song. I don’t know. Anywhoozle, the song was recorded on reel-to-reel at the Communications Museum in Charleston, S.C. It’s on a tape that probably will never come out (Jeff Mangum said those same words about “In an Aeroplane Over the Sea,” hint hint). Enjoy!

Playing a show at the Museum (full band?) June 1 with Lazy Magnet and Father Finger. 58 George Street, 9 p.m.

We’re playing a show this Tuesday (Apr. 19) with some bands from Baltimore (Sft Stps, Echothurs, Real/Cool Magic) at the (John Rivers’) Communications Museum. Starts at 9 (p.m.). Make it if you can.

Also, I finally got my hands on the split with Word Wood Salad, straight from Sweden’s own Hairy Beast Cassettes. I couriered these myself (really), so get one.

Atlanta was fun. We saw a newspaper with a St. Patrick’s Day headline that read “Everybody’s Irish!” with a smaller article at the bottom reading “Census numbers released.” Awesome. Later we all got pizza and our waitress told us she was in a “doo-wop/thrash” band. We looked up her band when we got home. She forgot to mention that she also shoots fire out of her vagina.
